Powerscape Gypsum board

Powerscape is perhaps the most revolutionary gypsum board on the market today. Made from  95% recycled material, POWERSCAPE achieves a number of benefits in a single board system. The name POWERSCAPE comes from the fact that this board is made from the waste product of coal fire power stations. It is a synthetic gypsum, that has wax and paper pulp added to it, and then given a factory acrylic coating. It has very high acoustic values, high impact, is ideal for wet areas (mould resistant), less site waste, easy to cut and fix, lighter than cement  fibre products AND with no silica dust, formaldehyde, glues or other carcinogenic material to deal with. POWERSCAPE is also accredited by ENVIROMENTAL CHOICE AUSTRALIA. If your project requires GREENSTAR rating, or if you simply want to use a safer and better board, POWERSCAPE can achieve a range of requirements in a SINGLE SYSTEM.

Another unique feature of POWERSCAPE is the ability for it to be re-recessed or tapered onsite. There is very little wast, as offcuts are kept and re-used. POWERSCAPE can be demounted, and re-used/recycled. POWERSCAPE has a fire rating, and is available in 10mm (no recess), 13mm, 13mm Ultra-mesh (for extreme impact performance) and 16mm (all with factory recess). It can be used as a flooring underlay, for ceilings, and for wall systems. Powerscape provides an excellent foundation material for attaching a wide range of fixtures to the wall and seldom requires pre-drilling (unlike plasterboard or cement fibre products which require nogs or back blocking. As a general guide, 13kg of static vertical (or any other direction) load can be supported by 13mm POWERSCAPE. The screw can be self tapping, or high thread, and of gauge between 6 through 12 (8 guage high thread is preferred). No pilot holes are needed.
